O. J. Simpson could prove to be Celebrity Big Brother's most controversial housemate yet.

The former American football player and actor - most famous for being tried for murder in the 1990s - could end up in the house next year.

OJ was of course cleared in the criminal courts of the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.

However he is currently serving a 33 year prison sentence for an armed robbery in Las Vegas back in 2007.

With OJ eligible for parole this year, it's been rather shockingly claimed he could go straight from prison to the CBB house.

The 69-year-old would be unlikely to appear in this year's series, with The Sun instead suggesting he could end up in next winter's run.

While that show is a long way off, the summer Celebrity Big Brother series is quickly approaching and there's been all sorts of rumours about that series as well.

Yesterday it was suggested that Celebrity Big Brother 2017 this summer could be an all stars special with celebrity couples.

The Sun newspaper claimed that show bosses are looking at potential famous duos to enter the house.

"It’s seriously early for anything to be set in stone but bosses are working hard on the idea and talking to the couples about big money deals to firmly secure them for the series in the summer," a source said.

Names on the line up could include former CBB winners and now couple Stephen Bear and Charlotte Crosby.

Over the years a number of duos have entered the house with twins Jedward and husband and wife couple Speidi taking part in this year's winter run only last month.

As yet, Channel 5 have confirmed no details about summer's CBB which isn't expected to begin until July at the earliest.
