Britain's Got Talent winners Collabro have hit out after one of the group quit the band.

Richard Hadfield left the former five piece last year and things have got a bit messy.

According to The Sun newspaper in 2016, Richard told his bandmates about his bombshell decision to quit after the group performed on last year's BGT live shows.

A source 'close to' the 22-year-old said at the time: "He has been unhappy for a long time and as soon as they ended their performance on Saturday he told them he’s leaving.

“It has not been easy for him. Everyone working with the group could see that some of the boys really made his life difficult."

Collabro have continued on as a four piece and this weekend hit back at alleged claims from Richard that he was "bullied him out of the band".

Current member Matt Pagan told the Daily Star on Sunday: “To call us bullies was bang out of order.

“We were obviously disappointed and upset, we are not bullies and so it was really upsetting to hear him say that.”

Richard previously said of leaving the group: “Due to a contractual disclosure agreement I am not allowed to discuss what really happened but I can assure you I am far happier in the direction I am going and that I am no longer subject to the politics and manipulation that took place during my time in Collabro.”
