The Welsh singing legend has appeared as a coach on the singing talent show for five of the past six series.
He was dropped from the line up for the final run on BBC One last year but returned this series when the show moved to ITV.
However this could be Sir Tom's final time in the show's famous spinning red chairs, if reports this weekend are to be believed.
According to The Sun newspaper, Sir Tom has 'already decided' he won't be back in 2018.
"Tom has really loved being back on The Voice, and is having a great time working with the other judges and the entire team," a source told the newspaper. "But there’s no denying that filming show is very hard work, and takes up a huge amount of time and energy. Tom has really felt that this year."
They explained: “He has found it very tiring. And he has been overheard telling his team that he ‘already knows’ he won’t be back for the next series, because it takes too much out of him.
“But that decision will come as a massive blow to ITV, who would love to have him back.”
A spokesperson for Sir Tom played down the reports, insisting that Sir Tom would "consider" returning to the show next year.
Sir Tom is joined by Will.i.am, Gavin Rossdale and Jennifer Hudson on this year's series, the first of three set to air on ITV.
The Voice UK continues this evening on ITV at 7:45PM with the live knock out rounds, where Sir Tom's team will be performing.
