The Voice UK 2017 launches new spin-off 'The V Room' as live shows begin

The Voice UK 2017 will launch his new spin-off 'The V Room' this weekend as the live shows begin.

Cold Feet actor Cel Spellman is joining The Voice UK hosting team to front the new online only show.

The 21-year-old will be bringing us all the backstage gossip including exclusive access to coaches, Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson and Gavin Rossdale, and presenter Emma Willis.

He will also be chatting to the contestants as the live stages begin this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV.

"Hosting The Voice UK’s V Room is a very exciting prospect," said Cel. "As a fan of music, I’m looking forward to working with four of the best in the business, and bringing an immersive experience to the fans."

Cel also presents a Sunday afternoon slot on BBC Radio 1 and CBBC's Official Chart Show. He also recently starred in revived ITV drama Cold Feet as Matthew Williams.

The Voice UK spin-off show The V Room had originally been tipped to air on ITV2 but will instead air online only.

You'll be able to tune in live on and on The Voice App.

It follows ITV's decision to axe its X Factor ITV2 spin-off show The Xtra Factor last month, with show bosses saying that more viewers were watching TV online nowadays.

The Voice UK will air live on ITV this Saturday and Sunday night with the first two of four knock out round episodes.

The winner of the show will bag a recording contract with Polydor Records, home to the likes of Take That, Ellie Goulding and Years & Years.
