Mary Berry has revealed she'll definitely be tuning in to Great British Bake Off 2017.

The show moved to Channel 4 from BBC One last year with Mary declining to move out of loyalty to the BBC.

But Mary reckons that the series will still be a hit and she's looking forward to sitting down to watch the show from home this time.

"Of course I’ll be watching, I want to see what they’re up to,” TV legend Mary said. “I’m sure they’ll choose good replacements [for ex-hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins], and Paul will be just the same.”

Mary continued: “I think it’ll all be different but I’m sure it’ll be good. I wish them well.

“I keep in touch with Mel, Sue and Paul – we text each other. It was like a family as we’d been together for seven series.”

Paul Hollywood was the only star of Bake Off who stuck with the show and will follow the programme over to its new home this year.

Speaking to Radio Times last week, Mary said she would "stand by" Paul but confessed they disagreed about the show's future.

Mary explained: “I would always stand by him. Paul and I had our differences about what was important to us but he is a brilliant bread-maker and I admired him a lot.”

The TV chef went on to reveal she was never actually asked to join Bake Off on Channel 4.

Mary told the magazine: “Well, I avoided being asked. It was suggested what would happen if I did go to Channel 4; what I would get, the advantages.

“But I didn’t ever have a meeting with them. I’d made up my mind. To me it’s an honour to be on the BBC. I was brought up on it.”
