Britain's Got Talent 2016 winner Richard Jones has been given his very own ITV show.

Operation Magic will air on the channel almost a twelve months on since he won Britain's Got Talent last year.

The Sun newspaper reports the show will see Richard performing his magic to troops and will also feature singer Katherine Jenkins.

The one-off special will also follow Richard, who won BGT's tenth series, in his role in the Household Cavalry band.

An insider told the tabloid: “There’s been a lot of interest to see what Richard has been up to since he was on BGT.

“The new programme is a one-off special before this year’s new series starts and will catch up with what he’s been up to."

The source explained: “He’ll be performing some magic tricks to his mates and having a joke with recruits when he makes himself disappear after their lesson in camouflage.

"Richard’s a lovely guy and people generally like watching him so we could be seeing him on TV more regularly if it goes down well.”

Richard Jones' Operation Magic is expected to air shortly before Britain's Got Talent will return to ITV later this Spring.
