The Voice UK's famous spinning red chairs will be back for the battle rounds this weekend.

After building their teams over the past seven weeks, superstar coaches Sir Tom Jones,, Jennifer Hudson & Olly Murs will be cutting their numbers in half this weekend.

Over the blind auditions, the four piece have been putting together their teams with ten talented acts in each line up.

The next stage is the battle rounds as the coaches will pit their artists against one another in head to head musical duels.

The two contestants in each battle will share the stage and sing the same song in front of the coaches and a live studio audience.

At the end of the battle, the pair's coach must pick a winner to leave them with a total of five acts.

However then the coaches can add one more singers back to their group by stealing artists rejected by their rival mentors.

After the winner has been declared in each battle, the other coaches can pinch the loser for their own teams by hitting their button.

If more than one coach turns to steal the same person, it’ll once again be the act themselves who gets to decide who to join, just like at the blind auditions.

It means there that by the end of the battles six acts will remain on the teams and the lines up will be a bit mixed up.

The Voice UK battle rounds air this Saturday night at the later time of 8:30PM.

Those who survive the battles will go forward to the knockout rounds.

From there it'll be time for the live finals.
