The Jump 2017 has lost its first contestant after a knee injury forced Vogue Williams to QUIT the competition.

The new series of the winter sports contest doesn't hit our screens until tonight, but it has already suffered its first disaster.

According to The Sun, Vogue seriously damaged her knee last week after enduring a heavy fall while training for the ski cross.

The Irish model has now had to withdraw from the show as she receives treatment for her injury.

A Channel 4 spokesperson said on Thursday: "Vogue fell during training for ski cross yesterday injuring her knee which sadly means she can no longer continue in the competition."

It's unclear whether Vogue will be replaced in time for Sunday's launch, although several celebs are reportedly on standby.

Vogue's exit will be a headache for bosses, who were urged to axe The Jump after last year's catastrophic series.

Nonetheless, sources told The Sun that injuries were inevitable, and Vogue is "devastated" she can no longer take part.

"Vogue is absolutely devastated. She was so looking forward to taking part and has been training religiously," the mole said.

"She’s one of the most competitive of the group and was in with a real chance of winning.

"Bosses have reviewed the show’s safety standards but accidents are bound to happen."

It's been revealed that model and former I'm A Celebrity star Amy Willerton will step in replace Vogue.

Amy said: “This experience has gone from being an exciting over extended ski holiday to suddenly overnight throwing myself into competition mode - but I'm so so ready for that challenge!

“I hope I can do Vogue proud,” she added.

The Jump 2017 begins on Sunday at 7.30pm on Channel 4.
