TV Duo Ant and Dec set to gatecrash TV and radio for Comic Relief

Ant and DecTV favoruites Ant and Dec will gatecrash a number of radio and television shows in a fundraising effort for Comic Relief. The schedule for the Big Red Nose Broadcast hasn't been revealed but viewers of morning magazine show Daybreak will have already seen the double-act in action. Footage of the efforts will be screened during the Funny For Money telethon which is set to air on Friday.

Talking about the exciting fundraising challenge, Declan Donelly quipped: ''This is giving us the opportunity to do some of the things we've always dreamt of doing, I quite fancy myself as a weather girl or selling my wares on a shopping channel!''

''We may even return to our roots in kids' TV. It's going to be a long day and a rush to fit it all in, but we're determined.'' The popular TV personalities started off on Children's BBC in 1989 as PJ (Ant) and Duncan (Dec) in Byker Grove before moving on to TV presenting in 1998 as they joined Kat Deeley presenting Saturday Morning Children's show SMTV: Live.

Continuing from his friend and fellow TV presenter, Ant said: ''We're really excited to help kick off Red Nose week. The day is going to be a mad dash to fit in as many shows as possible but I'm pretty sure we'll make it in time. Make sure you keep a look our for us, we're hoping to turn up in some of the silliest places.'' They will collect souvenirs from the shows that they visit and auction them off for money towards the charity.

Catch the highlights of their challenge on the telethon kicking off on BBC One on Friday at 7pm. Their gameshow Push The Button airs on ITV1 every Saturday night and you will also see them returning to their presenting roles on Britain's Got Talent when it returns to ITV in April.
