A Spice Girls talent show is reportedly being planned to find two new members for the group.

The 90s favourites are set to make another reunion but only three of the original group - Mel B, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton - are on board.

According to the Daily Mail on Sunday, the trio have approached the BBC with an idea for a talent show to find wannabes to join the group.

Mel B, Geri and Emma would act as judges on the series which could air on BBC One next Spring or Summer.

The format would follow similar BBC programmes in search of musical talent such as Andrew Lloyd Webber's How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? and Any Dream Will Do, as well as Gary Barlow's new series Let It Shine, which will hunt for musicians to play the role of Take That in a new musical.

The pitched series is said to be 5 weeks long with a live final where the winners are revealed.

Chatting about the Spice Girls' latest reunion earlier this month, Mel B explained to James Corden on the Late, Late Show in America why Mel C and Victoria Beckham weren't involved.

"The other two bitches didn’t want to do it," she quipped.

Mel B went on: "No, let me correct that — my other two fellow lovely ladies. You know, Victoria is busy with her great fashion line. Mel C is doing her own album.“They gracefully said, ‘you three go ahead and do it’. We are girl power and we support each other so us three went, OK, well then let’s us three do it.

“I don’t think we could ever replace Sporty or Posh, but I would like to invite some people up on stage with us.”
