Sky1 is ‘working on new reality series to rival Love Island’

Sky1 is reportedly working on a reality series to rival Love Island.

The more winter themed show won’t see topless guys or girls in bikinis, but rather couples in secluded cabins.

Singletons will be paired up in lodges with the hope of finding their perfect match, The Sun newspaper reports.

An insider explained to the newspaper: “The nation has been mourning the loss of Love Island ever since it ended this summer.

“Sky are hoping to cash in on the show’s popularity. It’s Love Island for those who don’t want to prance around in a bikini, so think woolly hats, fluffy coats and cosy nights round the fire.

“It’s going to all be set in a log cabin over a long weekend.”

Meanwhile, ITV2 is also working on a winter Love Island spin-off – but it’ll still be full of sun.

Survival of the Fittest will see a group of young, hot singles living together is the searing South African savannah as they take part in the ultimate battle of the sexes, in order to win a big cash prize.

Launching in 2018, a team of girls and a team of boys will battle it out in a series of stunning physical and mental challenges to determine which sex has the upper hand, while romantic dates will test their loyalties to the limit.

Will the girls put sisters before misters and will the boys choose mates over dates? Or will the temptation be too much and they end up in bed with the enemy?

ITV2 said in an announcement earlier this month the show will “give viewers the power to decide who stays in the competition, who goes home, and which sex ultimately comes out on top.”
