Johnny Vegas was forced to climb through a WINDSCREEN when he struggled to get out of a car during filming for ITV's Drive.
The new gameshow sees celebrities including former X Factor judge Louis Walsh and singer Ella Eyre compete against each other in a series of motorsport challenges.
One round saw the comedian struggle in a rather cramped vehicle, and host Vernon Kay has revealed that he ended up having to abandon the door when it came time to get out.
"Johnny's obviously a big guy, and there was a moment where he had to crawl out of the windscreen because he couldn't get out of the door," the presenter told TVRage. "People were laughing - not at him, but with him."
Despite the mishap, Vernon insists that Johnny is a serious contender in the competition.
"Johnny focuses on his skills, I think he'll surprise people," he added. "I think it got his back up when people didn't take him seriously at first but let's just say they weren't laughing for long."
Earlier this week, ITV released promo shots of the line-up - completed by broadcasters Mariella Frostrup and Angus Deayton, weathergirl Laura Tobin, athlete Colin Jackson and rapper Professor Green.
We also got to see Louis with his face covered in mud in a two-minute preview clip.
The celebs are aided by double British Touring Car champion Jason Plato on the show, which is made by the team behind Channel 4's The Jump.
It begins on Tuesday at 9.00pm on ITV, with the first episode seeing them try their hands at banger racing.
