Louis Walsh gets covered in mud in preview of new ITV gameshow Drive (VIDEO)

Watch former X Factor judge and more get to grips with the tracks

ITV has unveiled an extended preview of Drive - and it seems former X Factor judge Louis Walsh may be regretting signing up for the new gameshow.

Drive, hosted by Vernon Kay, sees a group of eight celebrities compete against each other in a series of motorsport challenges, under the guidance of double British Touring Car champion Jason Plato.

The broadcaster released a two-minute preview today, which you can watch above - but while some of the contenders are in it to win it, others are a bit more reluctant.

"I’m quite competitive, I’m definitely not gonna be holding back on the track," boasted rapper Professor Green.

Louis, however, ended up begging to go home after one game saw him left with a face caked in mud.

"Oh no! Get me out of here!" squirmed the music manager in his first major TV gig since he left the Simon Cowell talent contest.

Joining the pair on the show are broadcasters Mariella Frostrup and Angus Deayton, 'Comeback' singer Ella Eyre, comedian Johnny Vegas, weather presenter Laura Tobin, and athlete Colin Jackson.

"Racing novices behind the wheel of some of the world’s most powerful cars - what could possibly go wrong?" teased Vernon.

Episode one sees them split in to teams of four for rough, tough, head-to-head banger races - but they'll also have to fend off the 'wreckers', whose sole purpose is to wreak havoc on the tracks.
