Controversial Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ann Widdecombe became the latest celebrity dancer to leave the show this evening along with partner Anton Du Beke. Ann and Anton found themselves in the bottom two for the first time alongside EastEnders actor Scott Maslen and his partner Natalie Lowe.
Speaking about the result, Craig Revel Horwood said: "Well it's clear the public have finally come to their senses, I do trust the Great British Public that they will do the best in the end."
Ann said: "It was going to come at some stage, we were never going to be Scott and Natalie! I've had a tremendous 10 weeks, thank you for the viewers for keeping me in for so long!
"I feel we have had a jolly good time, [the judges] are delighted. I've just had fun, learning the new dances in training and everything - that's the thing I’ll miss most - the training. I've really had the time of the life and [Anton] has been brilliant."
Anton added: "I've had the most incredible time and Ann has been... well.... just incredibly wonderful!"
Meanwhile speaking about being in the bottom two, Scott revealed: "I'm not so surprised because I've been tired, I'm also not surprised because the competition is just so tough."
Head judge Len Goodman then revealed next week's semi-final will see a double elimination plus, as previous revealed, the programme's first ever Swing-a-thon.
The Strictly Come Dancing Semi-Final kicks off on FRIDAY at 9PM on BBC One!
