Egotistical Gillian McKeith has claimed she was television gold during her stay on I'm A Celebrity. The TV dietician, famous for analysing people's poos on Channel 4, made the claim today after viewing figures dropped following her eviction from the Aussie jungle three days ago.
However whilst the figures did decrease slightly overnight, a massive 9.7 million still tuned into the show ahead of Saturday's final. Gillian told Scottish tabloid the Daily Record: "I thought the ratings would go down now that I've gone. Somebody has said that I was TV gold. I think I was."
Still in Australia after her 16 day stay in camp, Gillian continued; "Viewers voted for me because I am interesting. They love seeing someone scream or faint at trials. They don't just want to see someone go through the motions. They want entertainment. They don't want dull people.
She added: "I think people stopped voting for me when I stopped doing the trials. They didn't see me enough on the show, so they stopped picking up their phones.
"However, I'm really happy to be out of the jungle. I want to spend some time with the kids. They didn't want to see me suffer any more.
"I knew it was my turn to leave the jungle. I told everyone that."
The 51-year-old went on to tip Stacey Solomon to win the show in tomorrow's final, saying: "I think Aggro will make the final. He's sweet. But Stacey will win. She deserves it."
