Linford Christie has become the latest contestant to be voted out of I'm A Celebrity tonight. The former Olympic sprinter escaped the bugs, confines, rain and trials of jungle life in today's elimination which saw all seven of the remaining celebrities facing the public vote, with the person who polled the fewest votes leaving.
Cheering after his exit, Linford told Ant and Dec as he left camp: "I had enough, I had enough days ago!"
He added: "Some of it wasn't as I expected it to be. Last night it was the worst, I was soaked so bad. Everything was wet!"
Dec backed up Linford, explaining: "For the guys at home, last night was probably the worst storm we've had."
Talking about taking part in the bushtucker challenges, the Athlete told the pair: "It's for the team, when you've got to do something for the team you’ve just gotta get on with it. If it wasn't for some members of the team it would've been harder."
Linford also revealed he was scared a lot of the time in the jungle, but didn't want to let it show to his campmates. "There were things that scared me of course but you can't let on," he said. "They saw me as a leader and a motivator so I had to try and be brave. You gotta try and get on so the others can too."
Known for causing more than a couple of arguments over hot topics around the fire, Linford admitted to being a "s**t stirrer", adding: "You gotta stir the pot. You push their buttons to make them go, else it's boring in there."
Finally, Linford backed Stacey to win the show, saying: "She's the loveliest person. When I was down I could go to Stacey and cheer up. She sees the world through rose coloured glasses, She can't see the bad in anyone."
I'm A Celebrity continues tomorrow with yet another elimination!
