Gillian McKeith has become the fifth contestant to be voted out of I’m A Celebrity after 17 days in camp. Gillian McKeith faced the public along alongside all of her fellow campmates this morning and was over the moon after being told the result of the public vote by Ant and Dec, cheering and celebrating!
Walking out of camp and across the bridge to meet Ant and Dec, Gillian started to chat: "I'm so happy I cannot tell you!
"I'm the happiest person alive!" she continued. Asked why she happy, Gillian joked: "Because I was petrified I was going to have to do more trials!"
Chatting to the presenters about why she went on the shop given her phobias, Gillian explained: "I must have lost my marbles, I don’t know, I don't know what I was thinking. I didn't think I would be picked for the trials, I thought I would be cooking!"
Gillian faced eight trials during her 17-day stay, speaking about the pressure she said: "It was do draining, each day it started again and the anxiety levels grew and grew." The TV presenter became the first celebrity in history to refuse a trial outright, explaining her decision Gillian commented: "I felt like I was so emotionally raw, but I think it was because I was so drained. My brain wouldn't kick in. I thought I might faint and I was worried about that."
Chatting about when she did actually fact during the live bushtucker trial, Gillian defended herself from criticism by saying: "I have a history of fainting, it wasn't the first time. It's not something I want to do, i felt ill all day."
Finally asked who she was backing to win the show this Saturday, Gillian revealed: "Stacey without a doubt, she’s definitely queen of the jungle!"
