Lembit Opik has become the second contestant to be voted out of I'm A Celebrity. Lembit faced the public along alongside all of his fellow campmates this morning following last night's first elimination, which saw Sheryl Gascoigne become the first celebrity kicked out of the jungle by the public.
As he walked over the bridge to meet Ant and Dec, Lembit chanted: "Free at last, free at last!" Talking about being out of the jungle, he explained: "Really strange, it's quite odd as we're a real close team and there's a real sense of team spirit in there. I'll miss them!"
Lembit said his jungle experience had "exceeded his expectations", saying he had learnt 3 things: "I know I can survive the jungle, I've learnt a lot about myself and I've also now been bitten by a snake!"
Giving his views on Gillian's fainting, the former MP said: "Gillian has had an incredible journey, she has phobia about insects and small spaces and basically everything that this show is about. But she has tried to conquer it and she's been a real star, respect to her."
Asked by Ant and Dec who he wanted to win the programme, Lembit said: "I'm not going to make that judgement they're all friends, I'll let the public decide," joking: "I'm a democrat!"
All 10 of the remaining celebrities now face the next eviction, which will see yet another campmate leaving in tomorrow's show from 9:45PM on ITV1.
