Sheryl Gascoigne has become the first contestant to be voted out of I'm A Celebrity. Sheryl faced the public along alongside Gillian McKeith, Shaun Ryder, Stacey Solomon and Dom Jolly this evening, after all five failed to save themselves in tonight's solitary confinement challenge. Lembit Opik won the task, giving him immunity from the vote.
All six originally faced the vote after being sent to jungle jail earlier in the week. Viewers voted for which celebrity they wanted to stay in the jungle, with Sheryl Gascoigne receiving the fewest votes after 13 days in the jungle.
Chatting to Ant and Dec after her exit, Sheryl said: "There's only so much damp and rain you can take so I'm pleased! Apart from the spending the last few days in the jail, it was a good experience, I enjoyed it.
Talking about Gillian's failed bushtucker attempts, Sheryl revealed: "I think for Gillian it was really tough, I don't think she knew what she was getting into. She was like 'Why are putting bugs on me?' and I was like 'Have you never watched the show?'. She was really mad about it.
"I didn't think she bad, she just has a major, major phobia. I'm just not sure why she came on the show! However she's far more relaxed now because the public arent voting for the trials."
Asked who she wanted to wint he show, Sheryl immediately backed former X Factor winner Stacey Solomon.
All 11 of the remaining celebrities now face the next eviction, which will see yet another campmate leaving in tomorrow's show from 9PM on ITV1.
