Strictly Come Dancing celebrity Ann Widdecombe is ending up 'in the top three' of the public voting every week, according to tabloid reports. The Sun claims that the controversial dancer, who scored just 13 points from the judges with her Samba at Blackpool tower last week, is set to win the show.
The score was one of the lowest in the history of the show, beaten only by Ann's own score of 12/40 back in Week 2. Len Goodman told her: "You're like haemorrhoids, Ann. You go away, come back and each week is more painful than the last."
However according to today's reports, the public are getting behind Ann winning the show, and even Ann seems to be encouraging voters to get her a spot in this year's Strictly final. She said yesterday: "I'd love to be in the final because then I will get a chance to fly again."
Bookies have slashed the odds on the former MP winning the show down to 7/1, making her currently the fourth favourite to take the crown. A spokesperson for betting chain Ladbrokes said of Ann winning the programme: "That would be the worst nightmare."
