82-year-old Bruce Forsyth is set to continue as Strictly Come Dancing presenter alongside Tess Daly, it has been reported. According to the Daily Star Sunday, Bruce was originally expected to retire from the dancing reality show at the end of the current series, but has made a sudden U-turn.
A senior BBC source told the tabloid: “When this series started we all thought it would be Bruce’s last. But as the series has gone on he seems sprightlier than ever.
“He really seems to be enjoying himself and we’re hoping he’ll be back next year."
The source added: “We’ve got everything crossed that he does a U-turn. It’s like he’s fallen in love with the show all over again.”
Bruce has fronted the programme since the show started back in 2004.
