I'm A Celebrity hopeful Shaun Ryder has told jungle pal Nigel Havers the only reason he entered the show was to get his greatest hits album into the shops this Christmas. The former Happy Mondays star told Nigel last night he was under pressure from his record company who wanted to boost his profile.
A show insider told The Sun: "Shaun had a heart to heart with Nigel and told him the real reason why he had agreed to appear on the show.
"He said that his record company had told him that if he wanted them to be able to get his upcoming greatest hits album into Tesco and Asda he would need to go on the show.
"He said he wouldn't have agreed otherwise."
Meanwhile Comedian Dom Jolly has spoken out ahead of his entrance into the jungle today. The Trigger Happy TV star said: "I am very confrontational. I argue with everyone. I'm terrible."
