The UK's Business Secretary, Liberal Democrat politician Vince Cable, has revealed he will be taking part in this year's Christmas Strictly Come Dancing special. Cable joins the only other confirmed star, Torchwood actor John Barrowman on the programme which will air on the BBC next month.
"He's always been a keen ballroom dancer and he's indicated it is something he would like to do, providing he can fit it in amongst his ministerial duties," said a spokeswoman for the Department for Business Innovation and Skills.
Vince Cable said earlier today he was to partner with ballroom professional Erin Boag, 35, and had already begun practising for his debut appearance.
"I have had a couple of practice sessions with Erin, who is absolutely gorgeous and a great teacher. I am looking forward to it."
He added: "I have done social dancing as it's my hobby, but Erin is hopefully taking me to a much higher level."
The MP revealed he'll be learning the foxtrot and American smooth for the BBC One reality show which will air this December.
