Michael McIntyre's Big Christmas show topped the viewing figures on Christmas Day based on overnight data.
A little over 6 million people tuned in for the special recorded at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, as Michael presented a night packed with Christmas treats and unmissable surprises - including hilarious stand up from Michael and live music from Welsh soprano Katherine Jenkins.
There was also former footballer and TV presenter Chris Kamara - better known as Kammy - playing Send To All as the show proved to be the most watched on Christmas Day.
Earlier, the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special had just under 6 million viewers.
Six former contestants - Anita Rani, Ann Widdecombe and Caroline Flack, Aston Merrygold, Jake Wood and Michael Vaughan - returned for the show, which was judged by Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and Darcey Bussell together with the studio audience.
Call The Midwife's Christmas special, starring acclaimed actress Miriam Margolyes (Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, Miriam’s Big American Adventure), had just over 5.5 million tuning in.
Later in the evening, Mrs' Brown's Boys traditional festive show had 4.7 million as BBC One led the night's numbers, before consolidated catch up figures are calculated.
EastEnders was the most watched soap with 5 million viewers. On ITV, Emmerdale had 4 million and Coronation Street had 4.7 million.
In the 9PM hour on ITV, Torvill and Dean's ice skating biopic managed to interest just under 3 million.
Elsewhere, on Channel 4, The Great Christmas Bake Off had just over 2.5 million viewers before a First Dates Christmas special had 2 million.
