The Voice Kids 2018 final was seen by over 3 million viewers on ITV last night.

The second ever UK series of the spin-off show concluded with its live final seeing an average of 3.3 million viewers.

The single episode between 8PM and 9:35PM was up 100,000 viewers on Friday’s semi-final but down 100,000 viewers on last year’s finale (which aired on a Sunday).

It was Daniel from Team Pixie who won The Voice Kids 2018 after the six finalists all performed live.

The 13-year-old from South Wales topped the viewer vote during the show, which also saw guest appearances from Kylie Minogue and Donel.

As The Voice UK Kids 2018 winner, Daniel walks away with £30,000 prize towards his musical career and a VIP family trip to Disneyland Paris.

This year the show aired nightly on ITV throughout the week, averaging just over 3 million viewers over its eight episode run.

A third series has already been confirmed to air next summer in 2019.

Before The Voice Kids final, the ITV film premiere of Minions averaged 2.1 million viewers.

Over on BBC One, Casualty was the most watched show of the night with 3.4 million viewers. Repeats of Pointless Celebrities and Mrs Browns Boys both averaged 2.5 million viewers.

Just over a million viewers watched Blind Date on Channel 5 while 2 million caught 2014 film Kingsman: The Secret Service on Channel 4.
