Coronation Street was the most watched show on TV last night (Wednesday, July 18).
The ITV soap topped the night's ratings with 6.2 million viewers for its first episode.
However numbers dropped to 4.5 million for the second, which aired out-of-slot at 9:30PM.
Inbetween the two instalments, The Voice Kids climbed back up to a series high from a joint series low as 3.3 million watched the first round of battles. The episode was 500,000 viewers up on Tuesday's instalment.
This year the series will air nightly throughout the week on ITV, continuing tonight at 8PM with the second half of the battle rounds. The live final airs this coming Saturday, July 21.
Earlier in the evening on ITV, Emmerdale had 5.3 million viewers.
BBC One struggled to stay above 2 million viewers across primetime.
2.3 million watched The One show before 2.1 million tuned in for Fake Britain and Animals Behaving Badly.
In the 9PM hour, factual drama Killed By My Debt interested 1.5 million.
Meanwhile, in the afternoon, BBC One game show series Impossible continued with 1.3 million viewers, losing out to The Chase's 2.5 million on ITV.
Over on ITV2, Love Island continued with 2.8 million viewers, down 100,000 on Tuesday evening.
