Coronation Street topped last night's TV ratings (Monday, July 17).
The ITV soap interested 6.6 million viewers for its first of two episodes at 7:30PM.
However Corrie dropped to 4.8 million for the second instalment, which aired at the later than usual time of 9:30PM.
Inbetween the two showings was The Voice UK Kids which rose to 3.3 million viewers, climbing 500,000 on Sunday's figure and 200,000 on Saturday's opening episode.
This year the series will air nightly throughout the week on ITV, continuing tonight at 8PM with more blind auditions. The live final airs this coming Saturday, July 21.
Earlier on ITV, Emmerdale had 5.6 million viewers.
Over on BBC One, 4.7 million watched EastEnders while 3.5 million followed comedian Lee Mack's journey on Who Do You Think You Are?
On ITV2, Love Island rose to 3 million from Sunday's 2.8 million as one couple faced a tough decision.
Caroline Flack dropped by again as Georgia and Sam were told they had to decide whether to leave the show together or split up and stay.
Straight after the dramatic episode, last year's stars Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay returned to our screens with a brand new show.
You v Chris and Kem, which sees the pair take on challenges made by the public, started with 700,000 viewers at 10PM.
