RATINGS! World Cup final, Love Island, The Voice Kids and more viewing figures

Over 10 million viewers in total watched the climax of the FIFA 2018 World Cup.

France beat Croatia 4-2 in the final, which aired on both ITV and BBC One live from Russia on Sunday afternoon.

BBC One’s coverage averaged 8 million viewers while 2.5 million tuned in to ITV.

The match saw a combined peak audience of 13.7 million across both channels.

In 2014, the final between Germany and Argentina was seen by a total of 15 million viewers while 16 million watched Spain v Holland in 2010.

Elsewhere last night, Poldark continued with 4.5 million viewers on BBC One from 9PM.

It faced the return of ITV drama Unforgotten, which began with 4 million viewers for its new series.

Earlier in the evening, The Voice UK Kids dipped to 2.8 million for its second round of blind auditions. 3.1 million viewers had caught the first episode on Saturday.

This year the series will air nightly throughout the week on ITV, continuing tonight at 7:30PM with more blind auditions. The live final airs this coming Saturday, July 21.

On BBC One, Countryfile held 5.4 million viewers and 5.7 million watched Antiques Roadshow.

Over on ITV2, Love Island’s latest instalment was watched by 2.8 million while Aftersun had 1.2 million.
