Yesterday’s Love Island results saw a mass dumping with four Islanders sent home.
It was Adam Collard, Darylle Sargeant, Ellie Jones and Alex Miller who left Love Island after a shock twist.
Singletons Wes and Georgia had the power to save two of the Islanders in the bottom three couples by partnering up with them.
After much deliberation, Georgia decided to couple up with Sam and Wes decided to couple up with Megan, saving these two Islanders and seeing the other four dumped.
An average audience of 3.2 million viewers tuned in to the show, up 250,000 on the previous night and winning the 9PM slot for ITV2. The current series high remains Monday night’s episode, where 3.4 million tuned in.
Straight after Love Island and new Keith Lemon series Coming in America debuted to a million viewers.
On the main channels and EastEnders averaged 4.1 million and 4 million viewers for its two episodes on BBC One. Doc Celebrities on the NHS Frontline, part of the NHS’ 70th birthday celebrations, interested 2.4 million in the 9PM hour.
Earlier in the day, Wimbledon coverage interested 1.3 million in the afternoon and early evening.
Over on ITV2 and Emmerdale aired two episodes both to 4.8 million viewers.
Crime docs Who Killed Sharon Birchwood? with Susanna Reid and a Tonight special featuring on knife crime saw 2.7 and 2.5 million tuning in respectively.
