On ITV, Emmerdale pulled in 5.1 million viewers before Coronation Street averaged 5.7 and 5 million for its two instalments.
Paul O’Grady’s For the Love of Dogs averaged 3.4 million viewers on ITV while The Big NHS Singalong Live interested 2.2 million in the 9PM hour.
Over on BBC One, Holby City had 2.7 million viewers before Our Girl continued with 2.5 million viewers.
Earlier in the day, coverage of Wimbledon 2018 averaged just over 1 million viewers in the afternoon and early evening.
On ITV2, Love Island returned to its usual 9PM slot with 3 million viewers, rising 400,000 on Tuesday’s episode. The series high remains Monday night’s showing, where 3.4 million tuned in.
