Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway

A huge audience of more than 7.8 million viewers tuned in to watch Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway last night.

The average audience was up 200,000 on last weekend's opener with a huge peak of 9 million watching the show's landmark 100th episode.

The figure is up 800,000 on last year's equivalent instalment and is one of the show's highest ever ratings since its 2013 revival.

Saturday Night Takeaway easily topped the night's numbers across all channels.

On ITV after SNT, The Voice UK continued with over 5 million for its latest episode

Olly Murs joins the show this year alongside returning coaches Sir Tom Jones, Will.i.am and Jennifer Hudson.

An average of 5.1 million viewers (including ITV+1) tuned in for the second of the battle rounds. A decrease of 400,000 viewers on last weekend's numbers.

After The Voice, Piers Morgan's Life Stories with Pamela Anderson interested 2.4 million.

Over on BBC One, Pointless Celebrities kicked off the night with 4.5 million, a figure that wasn't bettered by anything else.

New singing series All Together Now concluded its debut six-part run. 3.7 million watched the winner crowned up against Ant and Dec, an increase of 900,000 on the final heat last Saturday.

Casualty had 4.1 million, up 200,000 on last weekend, while new drama Troy: Fall of a City dropped to 1.9 million from the previous week's figure of 2.1 million and well below the opening figure of 3.2 million.
