EastEnders was the most watched show on TV last night, Boxing Day 2017.
The BBC One soap had 5.9 million viewers, which is down 400,000 viewers on the 6.3 million who watched Christmas Day’s showing.
On ITV, Emmerdale had 4.2 million viewers – up 500,000 on Xmas Day – while Corrie had 5.4 million, up 300,000 on the previous night.
ITV’s premiere showing of the Jurassic World movie performed well for the channel, securing an average audience of 5.6 million over more than two hours.
BBC One suffered with its two drama debuts Little Women and The Miniaturist interested 3.6 million and 3 million viewers respectively. Nature doc Snow Bears did better, watched by 4.6 million.
Earlier in the day, the Shaun the Sheep Movie had 1.8 million viewers on BBC One, followed by Mary Poppins with 3.7 million. 1.3 million tuned in for E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial on ITV.
Elsewhere, The 2017 Big Fat Quiz Of The Year had 2.1 million viewers on Channel 4 while Dragons Den had 1.6 million on BBC Two.
Channel 5’s most watched show of the night was a repeat of the Strictly Come Dancing Story, with fewer than a million viewers.
