Last night's first Britain's Got Talent 2011 live semi-final saw more than 11 milling tune in to watch the live performances of the first batch of hopefuls. The live show, which saw the return of Simon Cowell as a judge on the panel, was up around 600,000 viewers on last year's equivalent episode.
An average of 11.3 million viewers - a share of around 43% watched the show which saw Ronan Parke go through to the live final alongside Paul Gbegbaje. The audience peaked with a massive 13.5 million viewers tuning in yesterday evening.
Surprisingly more than a million viewers shed the show when the results aired, with 10.2 million watching as the Britain’s Got Talent 2010 winners Spelbound returned to perform on the show.
