The Nightly Show lost viewers again on ITV last night while Harry Hill's new show launched to poor numbers.

Yesterday was episode four of ITV's new week night chat show and 1.4 million viewers tuned in.

It was down 600,000 viewers on Wednesday but up 100,000 on Tuesday's low. The series launched with 3 million viewers on Monday night as David Walliams took charge of the show for its opening week.

The Britain's Got Talent judge will be back for his final show tonight while comedian John Bishop will take the helm from next Monday for week two.

Earlier in the evening, Harry Hill's wacky new show Alien Time Capsule opened to a disappointing 2.2 million viewers but ITV will no doubt be happy with new drama Prime Suspect 1973 which launched with 5.4 million.

Over on BBC One, EastEnders was the most watched show of the day with 5.9 million viewers, narrowly beating ITV's Emmerdale by just 10,000 viewers.

Elsewhere, The Great Pottery Throw Down topped the night for BBC Two with 2.1 million while 2 million watched A Very British Hotel on Channel 4 at 9PM.

The Nightmare Neighbour Next Door was Channel 5's top rated wshow of the night, securing a million viewers.
