RATINGS! SS-GB triumphs over Good Karma Hospital but Call The Midwife tops Sunday night

BBC's new drama SS-GB beat ITV's Good Karma Hospital in last night's TV ratings.

The premiere episode of the latest Beeb series had 6.1 million viewers in the 9PM hour, beating ITV's The Good Karma Hospital which dropped nearly a million viewers week-on-week to 4.8 million.


However it was Call The Midwife which topped the night's ratings, posting a huge figure of 9.1 million, up 300,000 viewers week-on-week. The show followed Countryfile on BBC One which had 7.5 million viewers.

Other than The Good Karma Hospital, ITV had a pretty poor night.

A Take Me Out Celebrity special had 2.3 million viewers - down on the 2.9 million last week's Dance, Dance, Dance final had - while nature doc Lion Country dropped to 1.8 million.

Elsewhere, Dragon's Den returned to BBC Two with 2.3 million viewers while The Jump was steady at 2.2 million for Channel 4.
