Big Brother 2013 live feed axed from 5* schedules

Channel 5

Channel 5 has confirmed today that the already limited Big Brother 2013 live feed will be cut from its schedules.

The live stream from the house had originally been completely cut when the show moved from Channel 4 to Channel 5 back in 2011.

However pressure from fans has seen some limited streaming return, with last year's series featuring live action after evictions and twists.

This year has seen even more live streaming returning, with an evening two hour instalment airing on 5* every night from 7PM to 9PM, and between 8PM and 9PM on Sunday nights.

But the ratings didn't make for great reading, with lows of just 9,000 viewers tuning it at points.

Even at its peak, the numbers were far off the figures that the digital channel is capable of getting with its usual programming.

A spokesperson for Channel 5 confirmed today that the stream would stop broadcasting on the channel from July 6, but did give any reasons for the move.
