RATINGS! The Woman In White, The Durrells, Good Karma Hospital and more viewing figures

Here’s a look at the latest UK TV viewing figures for Sunday’s night of television (April 22).


On BBC One, Countryfile topped the night with an average audience of 5.5 million viewers, down 500,000 on last week.

It was the most watched show on Sunday night, followed by Antiques Roadshow which also performed well, interesting 5.3 million viewers.

Afterwards, new drama The Woman In White kicked off with 4.5 million viewers. The Woman In White is a new five-part adaptation of Wilkie Collins’ psychological thriller, written by Fiona Seres and directed by Carl Tibbetts.

On ITV, series two of Big Shots Little Shots began with 2.5 million viewers. The series previously aired in a mid-week evening slot in 2017. The show replaced singing game show Change Your Tune which moved to an earlier 4PM slot where 500,000 tuned in, down 200,000 on last Sunday’s figure.

The Durrells’ third series followed at 8PM with 4.3 million, dropping 100,000 viewers week-on-week. The episode was however up around 600,000 on last year’s equivalent episode.

After, The Good Karma Hospital’s series two continued with 4.4 million viewers, matching its numbers week-on-week. Unlike The Durrells, The Good Karma Hospital was down year-on-year, by just over 400,000 viewers.


Elsewhere, BBC Two had 1.7 million viewers and 1.1 million viewers respectively for its two docs, Britain’s Biggest Warship and My Year With The Tribe.

On Channel 4, just over 1 million tuned in for The Crystal Maze’s new series.
