RATINGS! Not Going Out, Masterchef, soaps and more viewing figures

Not Going Out continued on BBC One last night with 3.6 million viewers.

In the latest series, Not Going Out sees Lee (Lee Mack) and Lucy (Sally Bretton) living in the anarchy of a packed family house with kids Charlie and twin siblings, Benji and Molly.

As if children weren’t enough to keep the couple crashing from one near-disaster to the next, factor in lovably feckless father, Frank (Bobby Ball), close friends in the form of the world-weary, or more specifically wife-weary, Toby (Hugh Dennis) and uptight ice-queen Anna (Abigail Cruttenden), plus Lucy’s parents Geoffrey (Geoffrey Whitehead) and Wendy (Deborah Grant).

The second episode aired last night (March 15) in its new Thursday night slot, winning the 9PM hour for the BBC. Still Game followed with 2.7 million viewers for its new episode.

Across on ITV, special documentary Four Days The Shocked Britain, looking at the terrorist attacks of 2017, had fewer than 2 million viewers.

In the soaps, Emmerdale had 5.8 million and 5.7 million for its two episodes while EastEnders averaged 5.4 million for its latest instalment. All were up slightly week-on-week.

On BBC One, MasterChef continued with 4.2 million viewers, the same as last week.
