The latest series of Channel 4’s Hunted finished with just under 2 million viewers last night (Thursday February 8).
Now in its third series, Hunted sees Brits turn fugitive and go on the run.
The fugitives are pursued across the UK by an elite team of hunters, drawn from some of the world’s best investigators and led by former Scotland Yard detective Chief Peter Bleksley.
The stakes are high; if the fugitives can evade capture for 25 days they could win a share of £100,000.
The final episode last night saw just four of the fugitives escape the grip of the hunters, winning themselves the prize money.
Channel 4 ranked third in the 9PM slot, which was won by Death In Paradise on BBC One averaging 5.7 million viewers. Documentary James Bulger: A Mother’s Story had 3.6 million on ITV.
In the soap ratings, ITV’s Emmerdale’s two episodes averaged 6.6 million and 6.4 million viewers. EastEnders had 6 million for its latest instalment on BBC One.
Elsewhere, the sixth and final instalment of Channel 4 comedy Derry Girls ended with 1.5 million viewers while under a million watched Dale Winton’s new Channel 5 show Florida Fly Drive
