RATINGS! Dancing On Ice drops to series low in latest viewing figures

Dancing On Ice dropped to a series low in Sunday’s viewing figures, as Call The Midwife topped the night.

Dancing On Ice continued with just under 5.2 million watching its fifth episode.

Legendary skating duo Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean are reunited with original hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on the show that sees celebrity skaters take to the ice in a bid to dance and dazzle their way to glory.

Having originally run on ITV between 2006 and 2014, the series was back on ITV for its first series in four years last month.

Already renewed for 2019, a whopping audience of 7.7 million tuned in to the opening episode of the revival, but numbers last night fell to 5.2 million, down 400,000 on last Sunday to a series low.

The latest live instalment peaked with an audience of 6.4 million for its live show between 6PM and 8PM that saw the remaining 9 skaters perform live for the judges.

The show saw the latest skate off of the series as another celebrity couple were sent home following the latest live performances from the celebs.

Following Dancing On Ice last night on ITV, Endeavour returned with a new series to average 5.2 million.

The drama went head to head with Call The Midwife in the 8PM slot, with the BBC series coming out on top.
