One Celebrity Big Brother 2018 housemate ‘threatens to quit ahead of launch’

One of this year’s rumoured Celebrity Big Brother 2018 housemates has reportedly threatened to quit.

Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas has been linked to this year’s summer series.

But The Sun newspaper claims he ‘threatened to pull out’ of the show after discovering the identity of another housemate.

Ryan is rumoured to be joining CBB alongside TOWIE’s Dan Osborne, ex of Ryan’s current girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh.

A source alleged: “Ryan Thomas threatened to pull out of the show when he heard Dan Osborne was going in because he used to go out with Lucy Mecklenburgh.

“He was playing hardball and saying it was either Dan or him, but Celebrity Big Brother bosses stood firm and he eventually backed down. Now they’re both doing it.”

The insider claimed things could be “awkward” between the pair, but suggested that Ryan would see a big fee for his appearance.

They said: “At least Ryan’s getting a huge wedge of cash. He’s a big name, so Channel 5 have paid through the nose.”

A spokesperson for Ryan however branded the claims “ludicrous”.

They told OK! magazine: “Ryan hasn’t even met Dan, and if they were to enter the house together Ryan would be fine with it.”

Alongside Ryan and Dan, other names linked to the Celebrity Big Brother 2018 line up include ‘Human Ken Doll’ Rodrigo Alves , headline grabbing footballer Jermaine Pennant and Kieran Hayler, the estranged husband of former Celebrity Big Brother winner herself Katie Price.

More of the names rumoured are So Macho hitmker Sinitta, Hollywood actress Kirstie Alley, Meghan Markle’s sister Samantha Markle, and American porn actress Stormy Daniels, who is currently at the centre of controversy surrounding president Donald Trump.

Yet more potential Celebrity Big Brother 2018 celebrities this summer include Love Island’s Gabby Allen, transgender journalist Paris Lees, Corrie’s Ryan Thomas and TV presenter John Leslie.

Celebrity Big Brother 2018 will launch on Thursday, August 16 at 9PM on Channel 5.
