X Factor stylist Grace Woodward has insisted that she left the show of her own accord earlier this year. The Britain's Next Top Model judge, who was reportedly sacked from the programme, described the job as the "toughest" one in showbiz, and said she wasn't prepared to give up her social life for six months of the year again.
"It's the toughest thing anyone will do in showbiz," she told heat magazine. "Long hours. You don't have a day off for 12 weeks, and by the end of it you're suffering from sleep deprivation and that makes you bonkers.
"It was really, really, really stressful. And I was working in a lorry in a car park for three months."
She added: "Everything that happens on The X Factor is under the biggest magnifying glass - you only see part of it.
"A lot of power is taken away from the contestants. They can't go out to see their mates. They live in a cocoon."
Grace joined the X Factor live shows earlier this year to style the contestants, but ended up hooking up with eventual winner Matt Cardle.
