X Factor's Kitty Brucknell suffered an 'emotional breakdown' at bootcamp last week, reportedly saying she wants to “jump off a cliff”. According to the Sunday Mirror, kooky Kitty broke down in tears after her performance as she awaited the decision from the judges.
26-year-old Kitty impressed the panel on last night's opening show, with Gary Barlow telling her: "Kitty, that was a great audition. You give us the hard, the soft, the medium. You’re full of body, you filled the whole of the O2. The audience loved it.”
But the judges also admitted their fears after the singer's bizarre behaviour.
"What was scary to me is that I saw two different people,” Kelly said. “Very humble on one note, and then when everyone started saying yes she was… so comfortable so quick, and that is a scary place to be.”
Louis Walsh admitted: "I'd hate to mentor her."
At bootcamp the singer is said to have broken down in tears, crying: “I want to jump off a cliff, I can’t carry on.”
And after another strange performance in front of an audience of 5,000 at Wembley Arena, Kitty was overheard sobbing: “This is the worst day of my life. The public are going to hate me. The judges just don’t get me.”
A spokesman for the show told the newspaper: “The contestants’ welfare is paramount.”
The X Factor 2011 continues next Saturday.
