The new X Factor judges have reportedly been given scripted one-liners to make sure the new series makes brilliant telly. According to show insiders, bosses even had to re-shots after Gary, Tulisa and Kelly mucked up their scripted comments to the auditionees earlier this year.
A source told The Sun: "Because three of the judges are new, they're being really scripted. They would start talking and then the producers would have to run over with a bit of paper.
"They'd then memorise it and the cameras would start again.
"It's becoming more obvious to the acts that the judges are not doing much. Hopefully they will pick up at the live shows."
It means what may seem like witty one lines from the judges, like Gary Barlows 'You've matured like a bad curry mate' from tomorrow night's show, may have been written days before hand in order to get a laugh.
Meanwhile rejected bootcampers have hit out at producers for encouraging relationships by laying on booze and hot tubs.
"It was obvious they wanted us all to get drunk and hook up," one told the newspaper. "People were ending up in hot-tubs, getting together outside and there was drama going on in the rooms. The cameras were roving round the corridors trying to capture it all.
"One couple were getting down to it and the team knocked on the door and barged in. They made the lad sit there in his boxers while they asked him about what was going on."
The X Factor 2011 starts tomorrow night on ITV1.
