New X Factor judge Kelly Rowland has admitted that it does get competitive between the panellists - but insisted that none of them hate each other! Hitting out at stories that she and Tulisa were 'at war' behind the scenes, Kelly said that the chemistry between the new line up was "incredible".
This year sees Kelly, Tulisa and Take That star Gary Barlow all join the panel, with Louis Walsh the only remaining judge from last year's show.
Kelly dismissed reports of arguments between her and Tulisa backstage, saying: "I know everyone wants us to hate each other. And, of course, some things we do disagree on - whether it's contestants, or their talent. But that don't mean I want to slice her throat!"
And the hot US star insisted that the new judges were all getting along "wonderfully".
"Our chemistry is incredible, we’re all so different but we have so much fun, backstage there are always smiles, laughter and messing around," she said.
The former Destiny's Child singer continued: "I feel blessed to be around 3 so talented people, but let’s not forget what we’re here for, because I know once the competition starts things will get competitive! We’re competitive people!"
Kelly - who is looking to try and outdo Tulisa with these new sexy pictures - said that the younger auditionees took her back to when she was trying to make it in the business.
She explained: "It makes you want to work harder. I think as an artist you draw inspiration from so many things and so many people, we are always growing, so I’m inspired by the talent I see too."
And the 'Commander' singer revealed she wasn't going to sugar-coat her comments, but at the same time didn't want to come across as rude either.
"In this industry, you need constructive criticism to make you stronger and grow," Kelly said ahead of Saturday's premiere. "I would never want to sugar-coat anything, nor would I want to be outright rude. I’ll always offer my professional opinion and advice in the hope it helps someone, whether they make it through or not."
Finally the diplomatic songstress insisted that there had been no stand out cities this year, saying: "Each city has a precious gem!"
