Things are looking up for Cheryl Cole in her bid to crack the states, with the former Girls Aloud singer firmly putting her axe from the US X Factor behind her. We reported yesterday how Cheryl had landed her first Hollywood movie role, and it seems she's also set to appear on primetime telly stateside.
According to the Daily Mirror, Cheryl's US manager - Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am - has managed to organise guest star roles in hit shows 'Glee' and 'How I Met Your Mother'.
A source told the newspaper: "Cheryl’s US dream is far from over. Her people are in talks with executives involved with Glee and How I Met Your Mother with a view to featuring Cheryl in an episode.
"Will reckons people in the States are really starting to sit up and take notice of her.”
The insider continued: "Since the US X Factor setback, Cheryl’s team is more determined than ever to get things moving for her.
“Will is talking films, music and now the small screen, too.”
Glee star Mathew Morrison previously tipped to the former X Factor judge to join the cast. “Appearing on Glee would be a good way for Cheryl to crack America," he said.
He added: “Cheryl is on the front of every newspaper and magazine in the UK. It’s not the same in America but I think she can crack it. She’s a talented girl.”
Another source said: "Glee is one of the biggest shows in America – you can’t buy publicity like that."
Glee returns for a third series in September. It will air on Sky here in the autumn.
