Olly Murs has joked that he and his Xtra Factor co-star Caroline Flack are surprised that they've not being fired from the show yet! The cheeky duo, who take over from Konnie Huq on the ITV2 spin-off show, revealed they can't help but have a laugh over the many changes to the X Factor's line up.
Over the years the show has seen nine judges - not including guest spots from the likes of Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul - and gone through eight presenters on the main show and Xtra Factor spin-off.
And it's perhaps wise of Olly and Caroline to worry, the ITV2 show has seen 5 presenting teams in just 8 series - with Konnie Huq and Fearne Cotton lasting just a year on the job.
Only Ben Shepherd, who presented the programme between 2004 and 2006, lasted longer than two years.
"I do get calls from him but it's either the most amazing news in the world or the worst news," Olly revealed today.
"I'm still expecting to get the bad one saying 'sorry, Olly, it's all over'."
He joked: "He's done so much for my career though that I'll accept it and probably sing Please Don't Let Me Go as I walk out of the door.
The former X Factor finalist, who finished as runner up on the show in 2009, added: "Me and Caroline are always joking on The Xtra Factor that we haven't been sacked yet.
"We're four episodes in and we're still not sacked yet!"
