Give us a moment to calm down, because Girls aloud stunner Kimberley Walsh has revealed the group WILL be back. Despite Cheryl Cole's foray into Hollywood movies (Yes, seriously), the Geordie singer who went solo will rejoin the group for a brand new tour in 2012.
The event will see the girls celebrate the band's tenth anniversary, having been formed on reality show Popstars: The Rivals way back in 2002.
But while Louis Walsh ihas stuck to his job and is still judging reality shows 10 years on, the girls have all gone their separate ways, with moves in presenting, acting and solo music.
Nadine Coyle is probably finding something to do with her spare time as well.
Kimberley Walsh told Zest Style magazine this week: "The girls will have been together for ten years next year and that’s definitely going to be celebrated with a tour."
And the singer, who currently stars in the new film Horrid Henry 3D, teased: "I can’t say any more until next year - but I’m really looking forward to it."
The group started their year's break over two years ago (Err...) in 2009, with Cheryl releasing her number one debut solo album 3 words, which has gone on to sell over 1 million copies.
However after her axe from The X Factor USA and snubbing of the opportunity to return to the UK show, Cheryl is set step back behind the microphone.
“They’re excited they’re going to be making a fresh start together on this next adventure of their lives In six months’ time it’ll be back to work as normal – they are itching to get back in the studio," a source revealed earlier this year.
The reunion could see a few awkward moments though, with Nadine Coyle previously claiming that Cheryl was a "failure" on The X Factor USA and had gotten “too big for her boots”.
The Irish star reportedly said: “I have more talent in my little finger. Why would I be jealous of a failure?
“Cheryl got way too big for her boots. She thought she could walk on water and had to learn the hard way that things don’t always work out as planned. People don’t know the real Cheryl like I do.”
We'd love to be a fly on the wall then the group reunite...
