X Factor 2009 star Lucie Jones has said she would've loved Gary Barlow to be on the panel when she was on the programme. The brunette beauty told STV this week she felt the Take That star was the "perfect choice" for the role, adding that N-Dubz star Tulisa will also be "brilliant" on the show.
Gary and Tulisa join this year's panel alongside Kelly Rowland, with the trio teaming up with X Factor vet Louis Walsh on a new look judging line up.
Speaking about the judges, Lucie said: “I think it will be great, Gary Barlow is a perfect choice.
"I would have loved to have been on a show with Gary Barlow, just to have been around him and get some of his buzz and his talent and to get his input."
She added: “If you get him as a mentor, you are laughing I think.”
Lucie, who finished The X Factor 2009, has gone to work as a model and continue her singing in musical theatre, currently starring in Les Misérables.
The 20-year-old continued: “Tulisa is from a completely different background and she is very successful and they have worked so hard.
“I think she is going to be brilliant, I think she is going to be very straight talking but she is lovely so she will be a good judge.”
