Cheryl Cole has landed first Hollywood movie role... as a reality talent judge, the Daily Mail claims today. The newspaper reports that the Geordie singer will appear alongside Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez in the new Lionsgate pictures flick 'What To Expect When You’re Expecting'.
The film, which also stars the likes of comic Chris Rock and Glee star Matthew Morrison, chronicles the lives of four couples as they prepare to become parents.
Cameron Diaz plays Jules, a wannabe singer who auditions for an X Factor-style contest in which Cheryl Cole will play a judge.
A 'film source' told the publication today: "This is a bit of fun for Cheryl. She will film the scenes imminently and is really looking forward to it."
However they insisted the singer has no plans to quit her day job just yet.
"It doesn’t mean she suddenly wants to become actress," the source explained. "It was just an opportunity that has come up while she has been having some down time and she thought it would be great fun to take part."
Cheryl will shoot her scenes for the film on location in the states later this month, with the film being released next May.
Looks like Chezza may crack the states afterall...
Meanwhile it was reported earlier today that X Factor USA bosses will be using footage of Cheryl in the show, but the Geordie star would be introduced as a guest judge on the programme.
